How to Buy BTC With Amazon Vouchers

In Germany alone, Amazon offers around 230 million products and is constantly striving to expand its service. Recently tested Prime Air drones are set to cut delivery times to just 30 minutes for small orders. With such a wide selection of goods, an Amazon voucher is as good as cash. Few people, however, know you can actually buy Bitcoins with these vouchers. Here’s how.

You don’t necessarily need an account on a crypto exchange to acquire Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash. The Californian web platform Purse.io connects people who are interested in purchasing Bitcoin and have Amazon gift vouchers with crypto bearers wanting to pay for Amazon orders using Bitcoin.

You don’t need to fill out any complicated forms or even post your voucher to get Bitcoin via Purse. All you have to do is pay for an order listed by a buyer (whose Bitcoin you then receive). In practice, this means that you look for an order on the list published by Purse for an amount that’s acceptable for you. Then, you pay for the order with your Amazon voucher. Purse keeps the equivalent amount in Bitcoin for the order safe for you. As soon as the buyer confirms that they’ve received the product, Purse sends the Bitcoin to your Bitcoin address. It’s worth remembering, though, that buyers expect discounts for selling their Bitcoins.

According to Purse, more than 317,000 users have already completed over 300,000 orders, with an average discount of 18 percent. Amazon customers have therefore saved more than US$ 6.1 million by offering Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash to others in return for processing their Amazon orders. At present, Purse allows users to pay for orders using US dollars, Canadian dollars, British pounds, and Japanese yen. This means that vouchers can be redeemed from anywhere. However, as Purse.io is a Californian company, its conditions of use are based on US law.
